Buddy Bags started as a dream of a foster mother on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  She watched foster children come into their home with nothing more than a grocery bag filled with ill-fitting clothes and a few age-inappropriate toys.  After looking into other charities, she knew she needed to focus on providing comfort bags to children entering into the foster care system.  She teamed up with a friend and used their professional contacts to have 50 duffel bags donated and created their first Donation Drive at Chick-fil-A in d'Iberville where enough items to fill 50 bags were gathered.

After the first Donation Drive, Buddy Bags has grown in name and brand recognition as they continue their efforts.  Buddy Bags has recently received their 501(c)3 status from the IRS and are setting up fundraisers and donation drives throughout the state.

Buddy Bags strives to not only take care of the physical needs of children in foster care but their emotional needs as well.  Buddy Bags is teaming up with other local charities to create a fun day for foster families on the Mississippi Gulf Coast among other educational and fun events.
